Carl Craig and Green Velvet Release Surprise LP, Unity

Carl Craig and Green Velvet have just released a new album called Unity via Relief Records.

There is not yet much information on the album, which dropped suddenly last night. Unity is introduced with a voiceover that states: “From the outer reaches of the galaxy come two captains from two worlds—worlds that hold traditions which shape the branial particles and molecules of the munchkins, who will and have come to dominate the not-so-distant future with multiple galaxies and intercosmic cosmo cities.”

The collaborative LP consists of seven tracks and on first listen they display a more spontaneous and playful side of the two artists.

Claudio PRC & Ness Drop New EP, Stream Title Track

Claudio PRC and Ness have announced the release of their new EP, Icore, which will drop on 16th March.

Sardinian producers Claudio PRC & Ness are known both individually and together as The Gods Planet for producing deep, hypnotic techno and the pair will soon be putting out Icore, an EP consisting of the title track and a remix apiece by Nuel and Dino Sabatini, whose label Outis, will be releasing the three-track 12″.

In 2012 Claudio PRC released the underrated Inner State, his debut album on the Munich based label Prologue.

Watergate Resident Ruede Hagelstein Releases Debut Album Apophenia

Ruede Hagelstein, a resident at Watergate, has announced that his debut album will be available on 30th March. Titled Apophenia, it is also the first artist album on Watergate Records.

Having previously released techno and house 12″s for Watergate Records, Freude Am Tanzen and Noir Music, Hagelstein has now branched out into the long-player format with this 11-track album. Apophenia, which Hagelstein’s album gets its title from, is a psychiatry term referring to the perception of patterns where none exist.

Watergate Records, the label arm of the Berlin club, has up until now focused on 12″s and their mix CD series (which stands at 17 installments, the 18th is due in February) with contributions from Ellen Allien, Onur Özer, Heartthrob and Tiefschwarz among the best-known releases.
