Paula Temple, Planningtorock, Oni Ayhun and rRoxymore Announce Record for Noise Manifesto

Following last year’s Deathvox EP on R&S, Paula Temple has announced the next record on her Noise Manifesto label will be a collaboration between Temple (as Jaguar Woman), Oni Ayhun, Planningtorock (as Aquarian Jugs) and rRoxymore.

The resulting record, Decon Recon #1, is said to be the first in a series of experiments with traditional notions of authorship.

Temple, rRoxymore, Planningtorock and Oni Ayhun (AKA The Knife’s Olof Dreijer) made Decon Recon #1 by anonymously submitting parts (but not complete tracks) into an open archive and then reassembled them as a group. Noise Manifesto explains: “Deconstruction happens where artists each submit parts (but no full tracks), the reconstruction happens where the sounds are mixed together in different ways by the different artists of the collective.” Above is a composite photo of the four artists that was issued as part of the press release.

The record is out on vinyl and digital formats on 20th April and a limited edition run of 100 vinyl records signed by Berlin artist Isabel Rock will be directly available from Noise Manifesto’s Bandcamp.
