Helena Hauff to Release Discreet Desires

Helena Hauff will release her first full-length album, Discreet Desires, on 4th September via Actress’ label Werkdiscs.

A resident at Hamburg’s Golden Pudel club, Hauff’s discography has been expanding since she released her debut EP Actio Reactio for Werkdiscs two years ago. 12″s for labels such as PAN, Lux Rec and Panzerkreuz Records and a cassette tape for Handmade Birds have followed; topped off with her return to Werkdiscs in March with Lex Tertiaread more on that here.

Discreet Desires, which was recorded in her bedroom studio in Hamburg, is described as “the embodiment of Helena’s deep-seated beliefs about music as a radical force and unifying movement.” Explaining her love of hardware production equipment, Hauff says, “I have the feeling it’s more one-to-one – you do something and then the machine reacts. The machine has its own mind too, so it gives something back.”
