Daniel Avery To Release New Energy Compilation

A two-disk collection featuring remixes of tracks from Daniel Avery’s Drone Logic album will come out through Phantasy Sound on 2nd March. Titled New Energy, it features contributions from Rødhåd, Perc and Roman Flügel and more. The tracklist is detailed at the foot of this post.

There’s a generous portion of techno across the two disks with Ø [Phase], Silent Servant, Rødhåd, Conforce, Perc and Audion contributing while additions from Factory Floor, Roman Flügel, KiNK, Powell, Special Request and Danny Daze stretch out the horizon the package.

New Energy will be released on CD and digital formats on 2nd March. In a previous post, I wrote about a Daniel Avery 12″ release with remixes from Rødhåd, Silent Servant and Volte-Face, which is due this month.

Audion Announces 12″ for Kompakt

After several years of releasing albums under his own name, Matthew Dear is returning to his techno-focused alias Audion with a new 12″ for Kompakt. Released next month, the 12″ consists of three tracks centred around Dem Howl, which features vocals from Troels Abrahamsen. The track is said to focus on “…the more introspective moments on the dancefloor… without sacrificing one iota of the precisely engineered groove machinery that is Audion.”

Released on 3rd November, Dem Howl is backed by an instrumental version of the track as well as a remix from Kompakt co-founder Michael Mayer. The record’s digital version will also feature a remix from Joris Voorn and an instrumental take of Mayer’s remix.
